Financial literacy is of great importance in improving the lives of migrants and their families across the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) region. CareerAid carried out Diaspora Financial Literacy Training Workshop between October 23 and November 2, 2018. 374 men and women took part and learnt valuable facts on remittances, sources of income, saving and investment, financial planning, digital tools and enterprise development.
The training was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, the Ministry of Youth, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, the District Administrator’s Office and the Department of Social Welfare. The project is fully funded by European Union under ACP-EU Migration Action and implemented by International Organisation for Migration.
